The Ministry of Law ensures a sound and progressive legal infrastructure, intellectual property infrastructure and insolvency regime, and optimize land resources, to support national goals. The Insolvency & Public Trustee’s Office, a department under the Ministry of Law, provides services in individual and corporate insolvencies administration, administration of the estates of deceased persons, and licensing and regulation of moneylenders & pawnbrokers.

Responsibilities

• You will contribute to the review and improvement of insolvency policies and procedures and ensure the smooth operation and co-ordination of all divisional programmes and initiatives. You will be responsible for all areas of corporate insolvency case administration and coordinate with industry practitioners, other government agencies, law firms and creditors. Corporate insolvency is a highly interesting area of work where there are new developments worldwide and locally; and you will also get the opportunity to assist in the exciting work being done on the proposed Omnibus Insolvency Bill.

Requirements

• You should have a degree, preferably in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Business Administration or Law. You should possess good written & verbal communication, interpersonal & analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
