The Media Development Authority of Singapore (www.mda.gov.sg) promotes the development of vibrant and competitive film, television, radio, publishing, music,games, animation and interactive digital media industries in Singapore. It has developed an industry masterplan, Singapore Media Fusion 2015 (www.smf.sg) to advance this goal. MDA also promotes a connected society, consumer choice and a pro-business environment.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for formulating and implementing programs to help develop the Interactive Media, Games and Publishing sectors. You will do this through a variety of industry development initiatives such as development funding, matching of projects and talents, conducting research into industry trends and emerging content, products and services related to new media, games and publishing. Your responsibilities would also include the evaluation of industry development projects, management of development funding and industry project claims, and support of marcom events. Your role will require you to work closely with relevant stakeholders and agencies.

Requirements

• You would have a degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Interactive Digital Media or Computer Science/Information Technology; preferably with 5 - 8 years of experience in the Media industry. Experience in regional and global markets will be an added advantage. You should have a strong knowledge of the latest New Media trends, and have interest in new media applications such as digital publishing, printing, mobile and pervasive computing, on-line rich media/Web 2.0. For the Games portfolio, knowledge and a passion for games would be important. Strong writing skills would be an added advantage. You must be able to operate independently and be quick in responding to queries and follow-up with stakeholders.
