Responsibilities

• The Industry Development and Promotion Office of NEA helps to develop a vibrant environmental industry in Singapore, by grooming environmental companies and promoting export-ready Singapore-based companies to the international arena. One key platform that the office is establishing is the CleanEnviro Summit Singapore and its partner event, the WasteMET Asia. The Summit aims to bring international top environment leaders, policy makers and captains of the industry for knowledge exchange on the challenges, opportunities and innovative solutions in safeguarding the environment in many of today’s developing and developed nations, whilst the WasteMET Asia aspires to be the marketplace for clean environmental solutions, in particular waste management solutions for the region and beyond.
• Your key roles will be in identifying, evaluating, recommending and cultivating international organisations to secure their partnership and participation at our international platforms like the CleanEnviro Summit Singapore. You will also work with these international organisations to help promote and secure funding for collaborative projects involving our Singapore –based companies. These are key roles in helping to profile Singapore as a hub for innovative clean environment solutions.

Requirements

• A good University degree, preferably in environment-related studies, engineering, economics or political science
• 3 years of experience in engaging international organisations, promoting local clean environmental industries, is a plus
• Good business sense of the opportunities for the environmental industry, locally as well as internationally
• IT-savvy and strong in conceptualising as well as presenting /communicating ideas
• Able to relate well with internal as well as external partners and stakeholders
• Motivated in delivering work quickly and independently
• Able to travel overseas on short notice
