The Health Promotion Academy is a team within the Health Promotion Board that is tasked to advance the goals of a healthy nation and health literacy by raising the professionalism of the health promotion industry and establishing proficiency standards on health promotion expertise and training.


The Academy will build the health promotion capabilities of health professionals and partners, collaborate with international health and educational institutions, develop health promotion training programmes and curriculum, establish standards and best practices in health promotion training, and grow HPB’s position as a champion and thought leader in health promotion expertise and training.


Responsibilities
You will plan and carry out teaching and training activities, to build and develop the knowledge and skill sets that clients (individuals, community groups and organisations) require to effectively address issues and concerns related to health promotion.

The key responsibilities include:

• Conducting training needs assessments in consultation with internal and external stakeholders, partners and clients
• Designing training programmes appropriate to the skills needed and the learners' profiles
• Working with the curriculum development team to design course materials and other documents such as handouts, manuals, exercises and learning toolkits
• Delivering and evaluating the effectiveness of training programmes and follow-up support
• Managing external training and accreditation bodies necessary to deliver required training to appropriate standards
• Producing organisational strategies and plans to meet training and development needs

Requirements

• A good degree in Education, Adult Learning, Nursing, Allied Health, Health Education, Public Health or equivalent, with experience in adult education and instruction
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present teaching materials clearly and confidently, and adapt teaching materials for different learners' profiles
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines and changes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and other software that support training
