The Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORE) is a statutory board set up under the Ministry of Home Affairs and is a member of the Home Team. As part of Singapore's correctional system, SCORE enhances the employability of offenders and prepare them for the eventual reintegration back to the workforce. SCORE also aims to create a seamless throughcare environment to facilitate their transition from incarceration to community.

Gainful employment contributes to the lowering of recidivism rate. With a set of marketable skills, ex-offenders will have the ability to earn a living and support their families. Holding down a job also occupies their time in a meaningful way.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for the overall performance of Strategic Business Units, namely, Food Services unit and Business Outsourcing and Industrial Space Leasing unit. You will generate sufficient revenue and income to fund SCORE’s rehabilitative activities, by meeting the Sales and Operating Profit of the department’s budgeted KPIs. You will also oversee the operational performance of the business units and provide employment for incarcerated inmates for the purpose of providing inmates with vocational and employability skills as well as to inculcate positive work ethics / values in them.

Requirements

A good honours degree in any field with at least 12 years working experience of which 4 years must be at a Senior Management position.
Possess strong marketing, business development or operations background preferably in diverse industries.
Strong team player and strong leadership qualities with an ability to work well with people at all levels.
Must have strong analytical and strategic thinking ability.
