The Singapore Medical Council (SMC) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Health that maintains the Register of Medical Practitioners in Singapore, administers the compulsory continuing medical education (CME) program and also governs and regulates the professional conduct and ethics of registered medical practitioners.
SMC appoints Investigators to investigate offences under the Medical Registration Act and to carry out investigations based on information or complaints against the conduct, health of or professional services provided by registered doctors in Singapore.
With this new role, we are seeking motivated individuals to join us for the following position:
Responsibilities
- You will assist in the investigation of information or complaints against registered medical practitioners in Singapore, as directed by the Complaints Committee.
- Your duties and responsibilities, which demands initiative and integrity, include investigations into complaints and surprise checks on doctors.
Requirements
- GCE ‘A’ levels or Diploma.
- At least 10 years working experience in the police force or other government enforcement agencies or other investigative work.
- A meticulous worker.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skill.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident in dealing with people at different levels, including senior management.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
