The Strategic Workforce Planning Unit helps to build a future-ready Public Service by identifying and addressing workforce capability gaps at the whole-of-government level. It promotes and supports the development of strategic workforce planning capabilities across the Public Service.


Responsibilities

  1. Explore foresight on key driving forces, trends and developments, and also the strategies of our Public Service, so as to anticipate future workforce challenges for the Public Service.
  2. Scan internal practices to understand needs and challenges across the Public Service as related to building capabilities.
  3. Develop strategies to address whole of government capability gaps.
  4. Develop and implement pilot programmes to build whole of government capabilities.
  5. Scan, research and network with industry and other organisations on external strategic workforce practices.
  6. Develop deep expertise in strategic workforce planning applied to the Public Service.
  7. Build knowledge management and promote sharing of information and best practices on strategic workforce planning.
  8. Work with agencies to help them assess their strategic workforce planning needs and facilitate the implementation of workforce development strategies.

Requirements
  • Good degree in any field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience, in a human resource or strategic planning function, is preferred
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
