The Strategic Planning & Research Unit in the Strategic Development Cluster helps to strengthen understanding and forward thinking on human resources (HR) issues relevant to the Public Service. The Unit also aims to catalyse strategic initiatives as part of its effort to identify and analyse whole-of-government HR issues, trends, challenges and opportunities.
Responsibilities
- To identify and analyse key issues and emerging trends relating to human capital management.
- To manage and lead public service-wide studies on HR matters, at both the strategic and tactical levels.
- To undertake research on key issues to support decision-making and planning.
- To undertake strategic communications of HR issues, trends, challenges and opportunities to leaders and HR practitioners in the Public Service.
Requirements
- Good honours degree, preferably in Psychology or related disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience.
- Ability to manage a team of analysts to conceptualise and implement research projects.
- Ability to multi-task and with good organisational skills
- Strong analytical, quantitative and communication skills.
Additional Skills and Experiences
- A keen interest in workforce issues.
- Experience in workforce analytics.
- Familiarity with statistical software such as SPSS.
