LTA is a statutory board under the Ministry of Transport that spearheads land transport developments in Singapore.

Our objective is to deliver a land transport network that is integrated, efficient, cost-effective and sustainable to meet the nation's needs. We manage the construction of new Rapid Transit System (RTS) projects, as well as upgrading of existing rail lines. Besides RTS projects, we also enhance the road network and provide motorist with a greater choice of travel routes by carrying out projects to widen, upgrade and build new roads. In addition, we manage and maintain road structures and facilities so that they are operational at all times. Besides land transport infrastructural development, LTA also covers regulatory and maintenance functions and you can look forward to a good range of exposure and opportunities within LTA.

Responsibilities
You will be part of the Rail Group (E&M) project team and assigned to work on one of the following core systems:

Communication Systems
You will have an opportunity to work on various communication systems technologies such as fibre-optic transmissions, digital trunked radio, public address & telephony, CCTV surveillance, access management and travel information systems.

Integrated Supervisory & Control System (ISCS)
You will have an opportunity to work on an integrated system with control centres that are designed to enable operators to supervise, control and co-ordinate the safe and efficient movement of passengers and trains. The major subsystems and equipment managed by ISCS include automatic train supervision, power supply, environmental control system, fire protection system, communications and passenger information systems.

Rolling Stock System (Electric Trains)
You will have an opportunity to develop expert knowledge in one or more of the following areas: electric traction drives, auxiliary power supplies, electro-mechanical control systems, communication systems, power collection systems and passenger information systems.

Signalling & Platform Screen Door (PSD)
Systems
You will have an opportunity to work on state-of-the-art driverless automatic train control system, automatic train protection and computer-based interlocking systems.

System Integration (SI)
You will have an opportunity to drive the overall process of ensuring that the design and development of multidisciplinary interfaces among different E&M systems are compatible with overall performance requirements. This process of managing the system interfaces and integration will be applied throughout from project design, construction, testing and commissioning phases to final completion.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Communications/ Control Engineering
• Self-motivated and resourceful with a positive working attitude
• Good analytical, communication, interpersonal and writing skills
• Those without working experience are also welcome to apply
