Responsibilities

With the drive to increase productivity across Singapore, the Tourism Sector is an exciting arena to kick-start your desire to contribute to the productivity drive. You will be the key project manager in the productivity project in the sector capability department of the Singapore Tourism Board. Your responsibilities will include actively engaging our industry partners in manpower, service and technology-related initiatives to improve business performance, increase productivity level and to better position the tourism industry as a competitive and forward looking employer.

Your role will encompass facilitating relevant studies to examine industry manpower issues, gaps as well as propose strategies to mitigate such issues. Evaluating work pass applications for specific sub-sectors of the industry and reviewing the work pass framework to ensure continued relevance in supporting the execution of manpower strategies are also part of your duties. You will also be expected to liaise with the various government bodies as well as private sector companies to ensure that such matters run smoothly.

Requirements

You should have a degree from a recognised university, preferably in business, economics or related fields with at least 4 years of relevant working experience. Familiarity with the hospitality industry is critical and prior experience in the hospitality industry would be an advantage. You should also possess a strategic mindset with strong analytical skills and a good macro perspective. Good project management, analytical and client management skills are vital.
