The Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR) is the lead agency for fostering world-class scientific research and talent for a vibrant knowledge-based and innovations-driven Singapore . A*STAR oversees 14 biomedical sciences and physical sciences and engineering research institutes, and nine consortia & centres, located in Biopolis and Fusionopolis as well as their immediate vicinity.

A*STAR supports Singapore’s key economic clusters by providing intellectual, human and industrial capital to its partners in industry. It also supports extramural research in the universities, hospitals, research centres, and with other local and international partners.

Responsibilities

•  At least a 2nd Upper Honours Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
•  Independent, resourceful and able to work in a team.
•  Strong writing and communication skills.
•  Fresh graduates with a strong academic record are also welcome to apply

Requirements

The Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) develops and manages public sector R&D institutes and programs in physical sciences and engineering, focusing on strategic fields for Singapore.

You will be involved in the planning, development and implementation of SERC programmes and initiatives for science and engineering R&D, including funding and resource planning for the research institutes. You will also support activities undertaken by the Council to develop strategic international and industry partnerships to enhance A*STAR's positioning as a centre of excellence for physical sciences and engineering research.
