Responsibilities

1. Bachelor Degree with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
2. Possess editing experience
3. Have interest in Singapore heritage
4. Good command of English and eye for details

Casual Indexer (Professional Services)

This is a temporary position.

Requirements

1. Proofread and edit the abstract of records in the database
2. Provide abstract for illustrations indexed where necessary
3. Update and maintain guidelines and standards for abstracts created
4. Review with Project Manager to standardize abstract guidelines and policies
5. Ensure that abstracts for index entries created conform to prescribed guidelines and standards
6. Check on inconsistencies in data entry
7. Log all problems and exceptions for reporting to Project Manager
8. Index the elements according to the required cataloguing standards and practices to make information more accessible
