Although residents in Singapore today enjoy good health with high life expectancy and low mortality rates, we want to further improve our health status and continue to enjoy good health as we age.
To achieve this, HPB assumes the role of the main driver for national health promotion and disease prevention programmes. Our goal is to increase the quality and years of healthy life and prevent illness, disability and premature death.
Responsibilities
You will plan and oversee the implementation and evaluation of the Nurse Educator Programme designed for the community and workplace to promote effective chronic disease management and reduce the burden of disease due to complications arising from uncontrolled chronic disease. You will also be responsible for the quality assurance and training/capacity building of Nurse Educators in chronic disease management.
Requirements
- Recognised nursing qualifications and must be registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
- Have good leadership/managerial skills and able to lead/supervise/guide the team to deliver quality health workshops for individuals/groups with chronic disease
- Able to pursue and foster collaboration with healthcare institutions and voluntary welfare organisations in order to further the Division’s objectives
- Proficient in a second language, preferably mandarin and connects well with the community
- Experience in budget management
- Good verbal and written communication skills
