AGD is a department under the Ministry of Finance (MOF). The Department supports the Accountant-General in fulfilling her statutory duties under the Constitution, the Financial Procedures Act and other legislative statues. It also works in close cooperation with MOF and public sector agencies to raise the quality of financial administration in the Public Sector.

Responsibilities

• You will assist in the administration of Government loan and public debts to ensure transactions are accounted for accurately, promptly and in accordance with relevant agreements and Acts. You will also ensure efficient and effective management of cash flows for Government and the Statutory Boards. You will also be required to perform simple analysis and provide recommendations/inputs to review and enhance processes/systems.

Requirements

• Diploma from a local polytechnic, preferably in Accounting and Finance
• Preferably with relevant experience
• High level of initiative with excellent customer service and problem solving skills
• Meticulous and good organizational skills
• Ability to multi task and work independently for time sensitive activities
• Good interpersonal skills
• A team player
